"If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it," (I Corinthians 12:26). Growth in faith is nurtured through spiritual friendships. Spiritual friends pray for and with each other, encourage each other and help one another reflect on the ways God is present and active in their lives and in our community. As a disciple congregation we encourage one another to extend words of witness and acts of genuine hospitality directed toward our friends, relatives and neighbors to create the opportunity through which the Holy Spirit brings others into a relationship of friendship with Christ. As spiritual friends we seek to offer guidance and support to each other, as well as celebrate the diverse gifts we can offer. |
